Year of manufacture: 1955
The Namhara was designed and built in 1954 by Mc. Gruer & Bute Slip in Clynder, Scotland.
Around 1990 the yacht was brought from Scotland to Belgium and was treated to a full restoration after which it sailed for several years.
In 2007, a new owner bought the ship in a very poor condition and completely restored it again and launched in July 2008. Unfortunately from that point the Namhara didn’t received the proper attention that was needed.
The design of the hull almost entirely meets the classic proportions
The ship also looks classic enough to fall into the “Classic” class.
Meeting a minimum “authenticity percentage” of 70%.
With its authentic rigging and a large number of authentic details, the ‘Namhara’ achieves this percentage with great ease; a pleasant-looking example of a classic from the 8-meter class.
