This fine example was restored in 2008/2009 and brought back to new condition at her original builder Tullio Abbate. All blemishes on the hull were restored and re-finished in navy dark blue. All mechanical and electrical systems have been renewed. Due to circumstances she has only clocked 10 running hours since the refit. This power boat has always been stored inside.
She is one of few touring models built out of a series of more racing orientated models – of which a large number was bought by the then famous F1 racing drivers like Jacky Ickx, Gerhard Berger, Gilles Villeneuve – and much more luxurious with 4 berths, toilet, kitchen area, sink and a fridge.
In 2008, the Tullio Abbate yard replaced the original turbo diesels with petrol engines which suits the boat much better: 2 x 6.2 L V8 Mercruisers at 320 HP/each coupled to a Z-drive transmission and Bravo one stainless steel propellers . The engines are relatively economical with great acceleration and a top speed of more than 50 mph.
The interior, restored in 2000, is still in very good condition. With new bilge pumps, new instruments, refrigerator and bathing platform, there is no better offshore 36 on the market.
